Welcome reception, to say hello. Location will be the open air lobby.

28th
  • 9:30am - Pooja ceremony for the bride and groom, followed by Holi

A pooja is performed for good luck to be bestowed onto the married couple and their families so that whatever obstacles they may face will be destroyed.
All auspicious ceremonies in the Hindu religion commence with a prayer to Lord Ganesh. This will be followed by our favorite Hindu holiday, Holi.
Holi is the Indian festival of colors celebrated during Spring when new colors appear in nature. It symbolizes inclusiveness, new beginnings, and the triumph of good over evil. During the Holi Festival, people dance and throw colored powder on each other. The powder is traditionally made of ground- dried flowers.
Outfits will be delivered to each guest and will likely already be in your rooms upon arrival. Please wait to wear them until today.

  • 6pm - Mehndi night with dinner and drinks, followed by a Garba dance

Mehndi & Garba Events are full of fun, food, and dancing.

Mehndi, otherwise known as henna, is a paste associated with positive spirits and good luck.

Traditionally, the bride has intricate henna patterns applied to their hands and feet during the event. Wedding tradition calls for a Mehndi ceremony to be held the night before the wedding as a way of wishing the bride good health and prosperity as she makes her journey on to marriage.

Garba dances celebrate fertility, honour womanhood, and pay respect to any of an array of mother goddesses. Raas and Garba are typical Gujarati folk dances that everyone can participate in.

Even if you don't know how to dance - we'll teach you the basics. It's a lot of fun!
