Transportation to the Resort
Lomas Travel will be picking up all guests at the airport—this is why we need you to add your flight details to the link in your confirmation email. Your transportation has already been paid for. When you arrive at Cancun Airport, an attendant will guide you to your baggage claim carousel and give you instructions for customs.
Arrival at Cancun Airport
After deplaning, follow the crowd to customs—it’s the only way to go! Be ready with your passport. When you get to the window, the agent may ask why you’re visiting and how long you'll stay. After clearing customs, head to baggage claim. Note: You may be randomly selected for a bag inspection, even if you only have one bag.
Exiting the Airport
Once you have your bags, ignore the people trying to sell you tours, taxis, or other services. Just keep walking until you see Lomas Travel. They’ll be wearing teal shirts and white pants, holding a sign that says Shaadi Destinations. They’ll take your bags and escort you to your transportation. The first person you meet is not your driver—he’s just there to guide you to the van. You don’t need to tip him.
Tipping at the Airport
It’s a good idea to bring small bills (mostly $1s and a few $5s) for tips. A $2–$5 tip for your driver when you arrive at the resort is appreciated. When your luggage is delivered to your room, a $2–$5 tip for the bellhop is also customary. If you order room service then again $2-$5 is customary.
Checking Into the Resort
At the resort, check-in is quick, but they may offer you deals like “$200 spa credits” if you sign up for their vacation club. You can just politely decline and head to your room. Your room number will be provided at check-in—it’s a combination of the building, floor, and room number (e.g., 2810 = Building 2, 8th floor, room 10). The bell staff will deliver your luggage to your room, and you can tip them when they arrive.
Wi-Fi & Resort Info
If your not tech savvy, have the front desk help you connect to the WIFI, and save the resort web page to your home screen. The resort app will provide you with convenient access to the resort map, restaurant hours, entertainment schedule and many of the other amenities of the property.
All Inclusive
This is an all-inclusive resort, so no need to worry about payments or tips for food at the restaurants. You’re free to eat at any of the resort restaurants, or order room service from your room’s landline or via the resort’s webpage, once you’re connected to their Wi-Fi.
Dress Code
While there is a dress code at most restaurants, it’s not strictly enforced. The main things to keep in mind: no wet swimsuits or wet clothing and make sure you’re fully dressed. Don’t stress too much about the details!

Tips for Ordering Drinks
- Don’t hesitate to ask the bartender for suggestions if you want to try something new. They’re experts at crafting cocktails and will be happy to make you something special
- Pace yourself and drink plenty of water—especially if you’re enjoying cocktails in the heat. Hydration is key to having a great time!
Resort Activities, Entertainment & Resources
There are plenty of fun activities, amenities, and resources available at the resort. Here’s a breakdown of what you can expect:
Classes:
The resort offers several fun classes throughout the week. Some of the most popular include:
- Morning aerobics
- Painting classes
- Midday margarita-making classes
Check the daily schedule to see when these activities are happening!
Daily Activities & Events:
Near the water slide stairs, you’ll find a small shack that displays the daily activity schedule. You can also check the resort’s website (saved to your home screen) for the schedule.
Activities include things like:
- Beach volleyball
- Beach obstacle course
- Falconry demonstrations
- Dance lessons
- Stilt walkers and much more!
Evening Entertainment:
The resort offers a variety of evening entertainment. Some nights it will take place in the open-air lobby bar, while other nights it’s in the garden area. During our stay we saw a water and fire show, illusion show, pirate show, and aerial dances.
Gym:
The gym is well-equipped with plenty of stations and machines. Water and towels are provided at all stations, making it easy to stay refreshed during your workout
Mini-Bar & Room Fridge:
The mini bar and fridge in your room are all included in your stay. They will be restocked daily with snacks, drinks, and other goodies.
Pool & Towel Service:
- No need to bring towels to the pool. You’ll find towel bins near all pools with signs for clean, fresh towels, and other bins to deposit your used towels.
- Preferred Club Pool: There’s a pool designated for Preferred Club guests, but we didn’t include this upgrade for our group. The main difference is a separate pool and a small lounge area. We felt it wasn’t worth the extra cost for your room rates
Shopping & Essentials:
There’s a shop near the spa (across from the gym) where you can pick up any extra items you might need, like snacks, souvenirs, or resort essentials. Be warned, sunscreen will set you back $30! Snacks and souvenirs are more reasonably priced however.
Spa:
The spa is not included in your stay, but it’s highly recommended if you have time. The hydrotherapy session and massages are both excellent and very reasonably priced. You can schedule a service by visiting the spa directly, or you can call the spa from your room to book your appointment.
Water Activities:
- Lazy River: Opens at 10:00 AM and runs until 5:45 PM — a relaxing way to float and enjoy the sun
- Water Slides: The large slide with inner tubes is the best in our opinion! Slides usually operate during the same hours as the lazy river, sometimes opening earlier.
- Roll Glider: A fun experience that changes daily. It runs at different times, often from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM or 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM. Some days it’s only available at night (so cool)—so keep an eye out for when it’s open!
